• The bill states that Individuals in possession of firearms that do not have the right to bear arms are committing a violent crime in the first or second degree depending on the prior crimes which created the status they are under of being prohibited.

• It is the opinion of OlympiaWatch team that there are some crimes which should preclude a person from exercising the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. IF this state passes a reasonable RCW allowing for the restoration of that right for some felons then it is responsible law to include the statute that makes it a violent crime for these felons to break the law and be in possession of firearms.
