• This bill creates a coordinated accounting of the costs, violations of law pertaining to sale and use of, successes and failures of programs pertaining to controlled substances. That means tobacco, alcohol, cannabis and vape products. It also means the state board of health and “any other agency deemed appropriate”.

Our Summary Opinion:

• It is redacting the names of persons from public access which is good. It attempts to determine over the long haul what programs are successful at reducing the “abuse” of such substances which is good. What is done with that is not spelled out which is bad. This bill simply put makes the different agencies data accessible in one place but fails to consider the next step which is to spend less and have greater success at reducing addiction related issues with regards to LEGALLY consumable products. I think it needs amended.
